Item Visibility

Visibility determines whether an item appears on one panel or across several related panels.

One item, different locations

Choose where a control should be available.

An item is linked to its current panel by default. You can expand its visibility when the same control or information should remain available while moving between panels. The item and its data still exist only once, even when the item appears in several places.

Panel

The item appears only on its current panel.

Group

The item appears on every panel that belongs to the selected panel group.

Scene

The item appears on every panel within the current scene.

When to use shared visibility

Keep important controls within reach.

Shared visibility works well for navigation, connection status, master controls, and information that should remain available across several panels.

Use it selectively.

Too many shared items reduce the space available for controls that belong only to the current panel.

Choosing a scope

Start with the smallest useful visibility.

1

One task

Keep the item on its panel when it serves only that control surface.

2

Related panels

Use Group when the item belongs to a specific set of panels.

3

Complete scene

Use Scene when the item should be available throughout the workflow.

4

Verify behavior

Switch panels and confirm that the item appears where you expect it.
