Scope of this policy

This policy applies to the DeviceJockey website. Links to external services, including Apple TestFlight, take you to websites operated by their respective providers. Their own privacy information applies there.

Visiting the website

Hosting and server log files

When you open this website, the web server and hosting provider may process technical access data. This may include your IP address, the date and time of access, the requested page or file, the referring page if transmitted, browser and operating system information, the HTTP status code, and the amount of data transferred.

This processing is necessary to deliver the website, maintain its stability and security, diagnose errors, and prevent misuse. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of this website. Hosting and technical service providers may receive this data where required to provide their services and act on our behalf where applicable.

Log data is retained only for as long as technically necessary for these purposes. It may be retained for longer if a specific security incident must be investigated, evidence must be preserved, or a legal duty requires retention.

No accounts, analytics, or external web fonts

This is a static website. It currently provides no user accounts or contact form and does not use audience analytics, advertising trackers, or externally loaded web fonts.

YouTube videos

This website includes videos from YouTube, provided in the European Economic Area by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The video placeholders do not establish a connection to YouTube. A YouTube player is created only after you select “Play only this video” or “Allow all YouTube videos”.

Videos are embedded using YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain, youtube-nocookie.com. Once you activate a video, Google may receive your IP address, browser and device information, the page containing the video, and information about your interaction with the player. Further storage or access on your device may also occur under Google's responsibility. This may be connected with your Google account if you are signed in.

The legal basis for loading YouTube is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and, where information is stored on or accessed from your device, Section 25(1) TDDDG. Playing one video gives consent for that individual load. Allowing all videos applies to future YouTube videos on this website until you withdraw that choice.

You can withdraw permanent consent at any time through “Cookie settings” in the footer. This prevents YouTube players from loading in the future. It does not undo processing that occurred before withdrawal.

Google may process data in the United States and other countries outside the European Economic Area. Google states that it uses recognised transfer mechanisms where required, including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable and Standard Contractual Clauses. Saving your YouTube choice

If you allow or reject YouTube videos through the privacy settings, this website stores your choice and the time it was saved in your browser's local storage under devicejockey-consent-v1. This is not used for advertising or analytics. It is necessary to remember and manage your privacy choice. The storage of the preference is based on Section 25(2)(2) TDDDG. Related processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and our legitimate interest in providing and documenting your requested privacy setting.

The setting remains in your browser until you change it in “Cookie settings” or delete the website data stored by your browser. Selecting “Play only this video” does not save permission for other videos.

Communication and navigation

Contact by email

If you contact us by email, we process the information you provide to answer your request. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where your message concerns a contract or steps before entering into one. For other enquiries, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and our legitimate interest in responding to you.

We delete correspondence when it is no longer required for the enquiry, unless statutory retention duties apply or the information is still needed to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

This website contains links to third-party websites. Merely displaying a link does not establish a connection to its destination. If you follow a link, the destination provider processes your request under its own responsibility and privacy policy.

Encrypted transmission
